Yes, the iPad Air 2 bends easily too! Sundar Pichai will soon rule most of Google. Meanwhile, AT&T is locking up Apple’s new SIM cards.
So, it turns out someone had the guts to try and bend an iPad Air 2 on video for all of us to see. Good news is this is quite the show. The bad news is you will find that it’s way to easy to bend the iPad Air 2. Maybe even easier than with the iPhone 6+. Sit back and enjoy the show.
Opinion: Maybe this is a direct result of the device being so extremely thin at only 6.1 mm of thickness. I wonder if the thinner Dell Venue 8 will be as bendable, though.
Sundar Pichai is one of the most influential Googlers around. He has done a great job being in charge of Chrome, Android and Google Apps, responsibilities that would keep even the best employees busy 24/7.
Apparently he can take care of much more, though. Rumors say Google CEO Larry Page has given Pichai even more responsibilities, giving him leadership over nearly all Google core projects. This includes research, Search, Maps, commerce and Google+.
Opinion: A memo regarding the matter is said to have gone out to Google employees this morning, which would make this move more than official. Is it too much for one person to handle? Maybe what Google needs is a fresh and brilliant mind like Sundar Pichai’s.
Apple introduced one of the most awesome improvements in SIM card technology with the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3. These SIM cards can literally switch between carriers on command. AT&T just couldn’t leave this awesome improvement alone, though.
What seemed like a move in the right direction was completely blocked by AT&T’s new trick. It turns out AT&T will lock these SIM cards to its network once you switch to it. This would force you to purchase a new SIM card from Apple when/if you decide to switch carriers.
Opinion: This situation is quite sucky, for lack of a word that best describes the way we feel about this situation. What is even worse is that AT&T is not really giving us a concrete explanation on why this is the case. Do they just want to make it harder for you to move away?
