With Apple expected to come up with the latest iteration of its iPad – the iPad 5 by September or October this year, there have been a couple of rumours floating around about the device. The latest to join the stream of such rumours happens to be a set of pictures that is allegedly of the back cover of this next generation iPad.
Folks from over at FanaticFone are the people behind these pictures and according to them, these pictures are indeed of the back cover of the iPad 5. They note that the shell of this new iPad measures 24 centimetres by 16.8 centimetres and is slightly smaller in size compared to the current generation iPad. The iPad 4 measures 24 centimetres by 18.6 centimetres – just in case you were wondering. They also add that the bezel of the next generation iPad too would be smaller – giving the new iPad a slightly sleeker look.
Another thing they claim is the possibility of the iPad getting is speakers at the bottom of the rear shell – just like on the iPad Mini. The volume buttons too have been tinkered with and they would be reportedly “separated into two respective parts.” Now, this is in line with earlier rumours about the next generation iPad being reportedly modelled on the iPad Mini
Looking at the pictures, do you really think the back covers showcased in the images are indeed of the iPad 3. Also, if the iPad 5 does end up looking like an enlarged iPad Mini, would you still go ahead and buy it?
