Since the launch of Apple iPad 2, the entire jailbreak community was waiting iOS 5.1.1 untethered Jailbreak, so that they can break free from Apple’s bondage and be free to install any applications or add custom modifications, which are readily available from Cydia and other sources. But with the release of iOS 6.0, there has been a slight change in the community.
The renowned iOS hacker Pod2g has already mentioned in his tweets on Twitter that he has probably reconsidered the release of a iOS 6 jailbreak anytime soon. But that does not stop other aspiring iOS gurus out there to churn out a untethered jailbreak to the millions of users all around the world.
Just for the record, iPhone Dev-Team has just updated Redsn0w, a jailbreak tool developed by them. It adds full tethered support for iOS 6 for supported devices – iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and the 4th-gen iPod touch (sorry folks only A4 processor based devices only for the time being). And yes, this means iPhone 4S, iPad 2, iPad 3 and iPhone 5 are out of question for now.
So let’s keep our fingers crossed and pray that someone creates a untethered jailbreak for A5, A5x and A6 devices pretty soon.
