Tonight is full of rumors and new devices, so we are giving you a run-down of the latest and greatest. Today we have a few stories from HTC, LG and Samsung, the Android trifecta.
Rumors of a Nexus tablet coming from HTC have been flooding the internet lately. The device is said to be called HTC Volantis/Flounder, but more recent rumors simply call it the HTC Nexus 9. Will this device ever come to the market?
If the Wall Street Journal’s sources are correct, the device should be coming soon. Sources familiar with the matters say Google has chosen HTC to be the next Nexus tablet maker, and HTC engineers have been working with the Search Giant for months.
Opinion: This is a very interesting decision, as HTC hasn’t been a successful tablet maker. The HTC Flyer and Jetstream were both big failures, but we can’t deny they were both great tablets.
The Jetstream did bad because it was amazingly over-priced. And the Flyer was a bit pricey too, not to mention there were better options during its time.
Looking for an affordable smartphone to use with AT&T’s network? A new option from has just arrived – the LG G3 Vigor. This mid-end smartphone will offer fair specs, good performance, awesome features and a price that is hard to beat.
The device sports a 5-inch 720p display, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 8 GB of internal storage, Android 4.4 and a 2540 mAh battery.
You can purchase it for just $334.99 this September 26th (Friday). You can also get it for $49.99 on a 2-year contract or on a NEXT plan.
Opinion: What I love about affordable LG phones is that they don’t skimp out on features. This little guy has all the features you find on the mighty LG G3. The LG G3 Vigor even has laser auto-focus!
We have been hearing about the Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 for a while. The device has been available from Malaysia and Thailand for some time now… all without a single announcement! What is going on here?
Well, it seems Samsung simply had a badly planned launch here. Now the secretive device is finally showing up in a Thai Samsung website, officially concluding its release.
Opinion: The Samsung Galaxy Mega 2 is a good smartphone to have for about $425. Its specs aren’t bad, including a 1.4 GHz quad-core Exynos 4415 processor, 1.5 GB of RAM, a 6-inch 720p display and 8MP/2.1MP cameras.
