HP just went nuts with a whole slew of new devices. Meanwhile, AT&T brings unlimited calls to Mexico and we take a look at a great HTC One M7 discount.
HP doesn’t announce devices too often, but when they do they go nuts! Today is a special day at Hewlett Packard as they announce 9 new devices, powered by both Android and Windows. They really do have something for everyone here!
For starters, we have the HP Slate Pro 8 and 12, which are sized according to their names. These come with a Snapdragon 800 processor, 2 GB of RAM and 12 hours of battery life. Rhose who want the power of Windows can also opt for the Elite x2 1011 G1, the HP Pro Tablet 408 G1, HP Pro Tablet 10 EE and HP Pro Slate 10 EE. In addition, business can opt for the HP ElitePad 1000 Healthcare Solution, HP ElitePad 1000 Rugged Tablet, and the HP Retail Case for ElitePad.
Opinion: Quite a mouthful there! There are some pretty nice options here, and it’s interesting to see HP entering the Android tablet market. Let’s see how these work out!
Well, this is something that I am quite excited to see, as I live so close to Mexico and actually stay in touch with a lot of people down south. AT&T has just announced an enhanced plan called AT&T World Connect, which would offer unlimited calls to Mexico for only $5 a month (per line).
And there are no silly limitations like allowing only land-line calls, this works for calling both land-lines and cellphones. In addition, subscribers get lower rates for over 225 other countries.
Opinion: This news come soon after AT&T was granted the acquisition of Iusacell, Mexico’s third largest carrier. It seems the improvements are coming sooner than we thought they would!
The HTC One M7 is still a great phone if you can get it at an affordable price, and Best Buy just happens to have the best deal for you right now. The electronics retailer is selling their exclusive electric blue HTC One M7 for only $199.99, which proves to be an amazing deal for an off-contract device.
Opinion: The HTC One M7 is truly a great device, and still competes with the best devices around, despite being so old. I was in love with it before I got the HTC One M8. If you are looking to get a good phone for a reasonable price, you can’t really do much better.
