Yet another Google service is going six feet under, Instagram gets a nice update and a new Galaxy Note 4 offer arises.
It’s a hard time to live as a service at Google. Chess pieces have been falling left and right, leaving only the strongest services standing. Today’s turn belongs to Google Moderator, a service that launched in 2008 with the purpose of creating a tool for moderating and ranking user-submitted questions.
This service was used by the White House multiple times, but it seems only Obama was a fan of it. At the very least he was one of few, so Google has decided to put it to rest. Google Moderator is shutting down on July 31st, and you can create new content until June 30th.
Opinion: Decisions, decisions, decisions. Google has to make a bunch of them; good ones and bad ones. Did any of you even use Google Moderator, though? I bet very few of you even knew about it.
Instagram has rolled out an update that will bless users with a couple new editing features. This includes the ability to alter tint and shadows (color and fade).
The update I happen to be most excited about is one most are ignoring, though. This would be the ability to activate notifications on specific users. This way, an alert would be sent to you every time he/she posts a new publication.
Opinion: I still need to catch up on my Instagram activity. Maybe I can be reminded by activating some notifications.
Life is hard for a G (geek) trying to have the latest and greatest tech. This is why we never hesitate to bring deals to your attention, and today’s may be just what you are looking for.
Even the latest phones are having a hard time knocking the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 out of its throne, and you can now get it for $469.99 off-contract. The deal comes from eBay, but be sure to act fast, as we don’t know how many units are still available.
Opinion: The Note 4 is still among my favorite phones. And while this phone is not exactly cheap, it carries a generous price tag considering it’s still at the top of the smartphone pyramid.
