Things are getting busy at Google with a new CFO. Meanwhile, Oppo leaks and Motorola discounts are blessing the web.
Having an important role in Google must be no easy task. Surely, being in one of the biggest companies in the world takes up a lot of your time, and we are sure big Google executives don’t have much family time. This became a problem for previous CFO Patrick Pichette, so he renounced his position as Google CFO, a couple weeks ago.
Google has now announced they have a new person to fill in his shows – Ruth Porat. While not many of us in the tech world know her, she happens to be quite the celebrity in the business world. She is known as the “most powerful woman on Wall Street” and is characterized by being a workaholic. Some even say she was making calls while delivering her first baby!
She starts with Google on May 26th. We likely won’t see many changes on the consumer side of things, but we are pretty sure she will be doing a good job… and she likely won’t mind giving up her personal time.
Opinion: Having a dream job at Google ain’t easy!
Heading back to California and joining @google as the new CFO beginning in May 2015. Great team of amazing, hard-working people.

Oppo is still fghting the “I’m first” battle, it seems. A new leak shows what seems to be a first-of-a-kind smartphone. It literally has the least visible bezel we have ever seen. The device is running ColorOS and we really have no other details. Just looking at these images and videos makes us question reality, though.
Opinion: To be honest, I think the phone looks quite ugly. It’s a subjective matter, but I just feel like the phone has very big bezels on the top and bottom, while the sides are pretty much non-existent. It makes the phone seem very unnatural. I think I prefer how the Sharp AQUOS Crystal looks, as it also gets rid of the top bezel.
Looking for a good deal on a phone? I have always been advocate of the Moto G as an affordable handset. I believe it offers the best bang for your buck at the price range, and you also get the benefit of being backed by Motorola, who happens to be very good at pushing out updates.
Even the 1st generation Moto G continues to be an awesome device, and today you can get the 4G LTE version for just $159.99. That would be a $40 discount over its normal price. But hurry, because this is not a permanent offer. In fact, it will be ending pretty soon, at 10:59 AM on March 25th.
Opinion: Yes, that would be tomorrow! Get your card ready and sign up if you are interested!
