Samsung wants to prove the Note 4 is not like the iPhone 6 Plus. Google is finally renaming the Chromecast section in the Play Store. Meanwhile Rovio is going on a firing spree. This and more after the break!
Got your wallet ready to get a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 4? Sammy definitely doesn’t want you to think your upcoming device is as fragile as the iPhone 6 Plus, so they are showing you just how strong it is.
Their latest video shows us starts with a bit of comedy, then it shows us some of the tests they have put their Galaxy Note 4 through. Give it a watch!
Opinion: I just have one thing to say – the fake butt is back!
Chromecast, that $35 dongle we all fell in love with is no longer alone. Android TV devices are to have Google Cast functionality too, which is why the Chromecast section in the Play Store has been renamed. You can now see the section properly labeled as “Google Cast”.
Opinion: This is a much more fitting name, as Chromecast is only the name of Google’s first HDMI dongle. More devices are to come and this functionality will no longer be exclusive to the device.
The Angry Birds hype has been dying down. The popular game is no longer as hot as it used to be, and that’s something we can definitely see in their latest actions.
In light of their uphill battle, Rovio has decided to fire about 16% of their existing work force. The company is said to be firing 130 of their 800 employees, which is a substantial amount of workers.
Opinion: This just goes to show that these overnight sensations can only be successful for some time. These casual games are great, but will they sell in the long run? Competition grows and it’s hard for casual mobile game developers to keep up.
