How to factory reset Xiaomi Mi Note Pro

Are you ready to let go of your Xiaomi Mi Note Pro? You should probably play it safe and perform a factory data reset before handing it over to its next owner. Wiping your device is also a good solution to many software issues you may encounter with prolonged usage.

In this post we are going to show you how you can factory reset your Xioami Mi Note Pro. There’s a couple ways to do this, so let’s jump right in and share the goods.

How to factory reset Xiaomi Mi Note Pro (soft reset)

  1. Turn your phone on and unlock it.
  2. Open up your settings app.
  3. Scroll down to “Backup & reset” and select it.
  4. Tap on “Factory data reset”.
  5. Select “Reset phone”.
  6. Tap on “Erase everything”.
  7. Let the phone do its thing. After a few minutes it will restart.
  8. You are done!

How to factory reset Xiaomi Mi Note Pro (hard reset)

  1. Turn your Xiaomi Mi Note Pro off.
  2. While off, press & hold the Volume Down and Power buttons simultaneously.
  3. The Boot Mode should appear, you can let go when this happens.
  4. From here, you can use the Volume Down to navigate and the Volume Up button to select.
  5. Select “Recovery”.
  6. When an Android image appears, press the power button and you will enter Recovery Mode.
  7. From here, you can use the volume keys to navigate and the power button to select.
  8. Select “Wipe data/factory reset”.
  9. Select “Yes — delete all user data”.
  10. Let the phone do its thing and then select “reboot system now”.
  11. You are done!
