Today we have new apps galore. Facebook, Samsung and Evernote are bringing new tools for all form factors! Let’s jump right into the details.
While Facebook Messenger has been available for iPhone for a long time, the social network has been slacking in terms of tablet support. You can install the smartphone version, but we all know how bad that experience can be. iPad users rejoice – today you are getting your tablet-optimized Messenger app.
There is not much to say. It works just as it should, and it is now available from the Apple App Store.
Opinion: Facebook Messenger is a bit of a big deal. The social network should have brought iPad support long ago, but as they say: better late than never.
Samsung may be running an exclusive smartwatch ecosystem, but they definitely have some pull and good support. PayPal is the latest to sign up as a Tizen supporter with a new app for the Samsung Gear 2. This PayPal app has been expected since the Gear 2 announcement, but delays are usual in the tech universe.
Users can check their balance, check their activity, look for offers and even make payments. All from the Samsung Gear 2 app. The application is now available from the Samsung Gear manager, so go get it!
Opinion: PayPal support is a big deal, especially for those of us who use it extensively. We sure hope they also sign up for Android Wear support. Also, does it seem like NFC payments are becoming a thing of the past?
We know some of you are already sporting those awesome new Android wear devices. Today you are getting a new app to sport on your wrist, courtesy of the popular note-taking service Evernote.
The company has released a standalone app called Evernote Wear. It gives users the ability to make audio notes, manage checklists, find existing notes and more. It will be a great tool for those who are invested in the service.
Opinion: Evernote is an all-time classic and will keep its position for a long time to come. We are glad to see them getting involved. I believe not even Google Keep has support right now!
