News: Dell Venue 10 7000, Mac Photos app rolling out, Moto Hint free with Moto X purchase

Dell launches a new business tablet, Apple rolls out its new Photos app and Motorola is giving away Moto Hints. Stick around for all the details!

Dell Venue 10 7000 ready for business

The Dell Venue 10 700 has just been announced as a business-focused tablet for the Android enthusiast. You guessed it, it’s meant to be part of the same series that brought you the Dell Venue 8 7000. But while they share the name and same category, these tablets are really nothing like each other. This one has super thick bezels and a hinge that looks horrible.

For starters, the Venue 10 7000 comes with a 10.5-inch 2560x1600p OLED screen, Android 5.0.2, an Intel Atom processor, 2 GB of RAM, an 8 MP RealSense camera, a 2 MP front-facing shooter, 16/32 GB of internal storage and a 7000 mAh battery.

This new tablet will be making its debut in May, at a $499 price point. You can also get it with a keyboard for $629. The price would rise if you need more storage or an LTE connection.

Opinion: This. Thing. Is. Ugly. It’s not meant to be too good-looking, though – it’s meant to get work done. We can’t deny this is a pretty well-specced tablet, and it’s priced as such.

Apple Photos now hitting Mac computers

Apple’s latest OS X Yosemite (v10.10.3) update has started rolling out to computers all over. The update brings us the usual set of performance boost and improvements, along with some new features. One of thee features we have specifically been waiting for some time – the new Photos app.

This application is to replace iPhoto, giving it the power of the cloud, as well as more powerful features. Anyways, update your computer and get the new app if you want to test it out!

Opinion: Was it time to let go of iPhoto? They are really only letting go of the name, but a whole re-brand may confuse some users. People may log in wondering where the heck iPhoto went.

Free Moto Hint witht he purchase of a Moto X

I can assume not a lot of you are lining up for a Moto Hint, but it sure sounds like a sweet deal when it’s being given away for free. Motorola is handing these bluetooth headset out to anyone who purchases an off-contract Moto X.

All you need to do is add your Moto Hint to the same cart as your Moto X and check out. This is a $149 value and we are not sure how long it will be going on, so make sure to act fast if you want to join the fun.

Opinion: This deal won’t have us going nuts to purchase a whole new phone, but it could be a nice incentive if you were considering the option already. Maybe you were on the fence about choosing the Moto X or another phone. This little deal may just make you lean more towards Motorola.
