Chromecast just turned 1 and users are getting a nice treat. Meanwhile, Lenovo and Samsung are putting new devices in the market. Will you be buying?
Chromecast has just turned one and Google won’t let this anniversary pass without a good celebration. Instead of throwing a party, Google has decided to make your living rooms even more lively with a nice treat.
Chromecast users are getting a free 90-day trial to Google Play Music All Access, making for quite a sweet deal. Sadly, many of us will not qualify for this offer, though. Current subscribers will not get any freebies. Likewise, those who have already used their free trial will be left out of this celebration.
Opinion: It’s a bit sad that only new users get to enjoy this sweet deal, but we know many of you probably haven’t tried All Access just yet. Check it out!
Those who have been itching for a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 10.1 will be glad to hear the device is now available from Verizon. The mid-end tablet is a bit of an oddity, though, as it doesn’t come cheap. It is priced at $359.99 on a 2-year contract.
Buying it off contract will only cost $100 more, which puts this tablet’s price tag on the higher end of the spectrum. It sports a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM and a 10.1-inch 1280x800p display.
Opinion: I would definitely not pay this much for a tablet with those specs, but the device could be a good option if you really want a 10.1-inch display and 4G LTE connectivity.
The last high-end smartphones of this season are coming out, and Lenovo is adding itself to the list with the release of the K920. The powerful device will be launching on August 5th, which is only a couple weeks away.
The device comes with Lenovo’s iconic metal construction and specs that will rival any device. It sports a 6-inch QHD display, a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of ROM, and a stunning 4,000 mAh battery.
Opinion: This is one powerful smartphone, but its success will highly depend on the price, which continues to be unknown.
