BLU Studio Energy claims to let you go 4 days between charges, and they’ve got a 5000mAh battery to back that claim, we got hands on at CES 2015.
BLU has resisted a few features that will drain your battery quicker, and that’s a high resolution display. This 5 inch Smartphone comes sporting a 720p display which will help you go longer between charges. It’s not just the display and battery that will push you to 4 days, but the low end 1.3GHz MediaTek processor with 1GB of RAM. You won’t be getting LTE but you do get an 8MP camera with 2MP on the front along side 8GB of storage.
When looking at the profile you’d expect for it to be much thicker, but it doesn’t really seem much thicker then an average smartphone. (If you want thin, you should check ot the Vivo Air also by BLU, it comes in at only 5.1mm)
I did take the time to check out the battery drain page and it didn’t look like we were going to get to 4 days based on what I saw, but then again show floor units and prototypes aren’t exactly the best example. I do think it’s possible, but remain skeptical.
The BLU Studio Energy will cost you a very reasonable $179 which is excellent for such a big battery.
