T-Mobile is breaking blowing up the walls that American carriers previously had built around us, and we know many of you are looking to join the “Uncarrier”. Signing up for their post-paid plans would get you all their sweetest deals, but some of us want a more simple set-up, right? That is where prepaid plans shine.
T-mobile has recently announced their new Simply Prepaid plans and they seem like a beauty for those who don’t like commitments. In addition to their prepaid services, they also offer phones that are optimized for their prepaid services.
They usually have a lower off-contract price and come pre-packed with the carrier apps. Those are the phones we are focusing on today. Which T-Mobile prepaid phones should you go for? Let’s take a look at our favorite ones and tell you a bit about them.
Samsung Galaxy S4
This one was a bit hard to swallow, because I can’t fathom the idea that a previous-generation smartphone is the best prepaid device T-Mobile offers. Even the Galaxy S5 is getting old by now, so it makes no sense for me to pay $573 for a Galaxy S4. If you must have the best prepaid phone they sell, though, it will be the Galaxy S4.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is still a pretty capable phone. It comes with a 5-inch 1080p display, a 1.9 GHz quad-core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage and a 13 MP camera.
ALCATEL ONETOUCH Fierce 2
ALCATEL doesn’t have a strong presence in the USA, but T-Mobile is one of the few carriers that have been selling their devices for some time. This is great, because ALCATEL happens to make some great affordable smartphones. At $171, this one happens to be quite the winner.
It comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, a 5-inch qHD display and a 2000 mAh battery. Won’t blow your socks away, but it’s a good phone for the price.
LG Optimus L90
Now, if I had o choose a phone from this list, I would probably get the LG Optimus L90. It seems to offer the best bang for your buck. It’s well specced and comes with a reasonable $144.84 price tag.
This phone will include all of LG’s smart features, including Knock On. In addition, it carries a pretty powerful Snapdragon 400 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, a 5 MP camera, a 2460 mAh battery and a 4.7-inch qHD screen.
Nokia Lumia 635
Don’t like Android? Maybe Windows Phone 8.1 is your cup of tea, in which case we have a good option for you. Currently priced at only $144.84, the Nokia Lumia 635 is actually a great option.
It comes with Windows Phone, so you know it will be fast and smooth. The device comes with a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage, a 4.5-inch 854x480p display, a 5 MP camera and an 1830 mAh battery. Oh, and it comes with 4G LTE capabilities, so you won’t be waiting around much.
If you really don’t want to spend a lot of cash, this happens to be the cheapest prepaid phone T-Mobile offers. It’s the ZTE Zinger and comes with very modest specs, but will only set you back $94.99.
It packs a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of internal storage, a 3.5-inch 320x480p display and a 1500 mAh battery.
