The iPhone 6 Plus looks and feels great, but we all know that can change with enough time and usage. If you are like me, your phones get more than good usage. Wear and tear is an issue even for the most careful users, so protecting your iPhone 6 Plus with a nice cover can be the best idea. Especially considering that #bendgate fiasco.
Let’s face it – this is an Apple devices and there are way too many cases out there. Which is the one for you? We are going to take a look at our very favorite iPhone 6 Plus cases, so stick around and take a look at them with us.
Official iPhone 6 Plus cases
Sometimes the best bet is to stick around with official accessories. Apple does offer some pretty nifty cases for your iPhone 6. They are not the strongest around, but they do offer a good layer of protection and a classic, sleek design that is very resemblant of Apple’s style.
These are the same offerings as we previously saw with the 4.7-inch iPhone 6. The cases are offered in silicone and leather materials, with a slightly higher price of $39 and $49, accordingly.
These are good cases. They are a bit over-priced, but sometimes it’s nice to rock official Apple accessories.
iPhone 6 Plus Battery Extender Case
You can say a case is good when it can protect your device as well as improving your user experience. Some of these cases happen to offer more battery life, something no user will say no to. There is no Mophie case yet, but we do have other good alternatives like the iPhone 6 Plus Battery Extender Case.
These battery cases are no joke. The iPhone 6 Plus Battery Extender Case comes in three configurations, offering 4200, 4800 and 8200 mAh battery options. Yes, the last one is not a typo. To put it into perspective, the iPhone 6 Plus carries a 2915 mAh battery, which is already a lot.
These won’t come cheap, though. Their prices are set at $109.95, $119.95 and $139.95, accordingly. This is not a bad price for a case that will make your battery go for days while protecting your phone. Oh, and these cases also come with a kickstand for watching videos comfortable. The bad news here is that the cases are definitely a bit chunky.
OtterBox iPhone 6 Plus Case (Symmetry Series)
OtterBox is known for making amazingly rugged cases. It’s said no manufacturer can beat their protective accessories. We may argue otherwise, depending on the model, but there is definitely one thing we can’t deny – no one beats their huge, thick sizes either.
I love keeping my iPhone 6 Plus safe, but I don’t want to carry a beastly case in my pants all day long. If you are like me, you will be glad to see OtterBox’s Symmetry Series. This iPhone 6 Plus case finds the balance between protection and design.
It’s still big and thick, but much more bearable than other OtterBox cases. It also looks sleek and the design was given more than a few minutes of thought.
Spigen Tough Armor Case for iPhone 6 Plus
And because #bendgate is causing an awful lot of trouble, let us introduce you to yet another protection-focused case. This one is much cheaper than OtterBox’s and happens to look very good.
It’s the Spigen Tough Armor case and is designed as a dual-layer (TPU/polycarbonate) case with a good look and a powerful body. It even has a kickstand, for those who like enjoying movies without too much hassle.
Incipio Stowaway [Advance] iPhone 6 Plus Case
The Incipio Stowaway is a personal favorite. It takes the case/wallet hybrid idea to a whole other level. The back of the case has what seems like an average kickstand (and it is), but it is a bit more interesting.
This case also happens to have a compartment for saving up to three IDs, credit cards or cash. It’s a very neat case, and I happen to love how useful it can be. To make matters even better, it is not very expensive.
Case-Mate Brushed Aluminum Case
The iPhone 6 Plus’ metal body feels great and we know many of you don’t want to let go of that feeling. The best option would be to get a case that is also made of metal, and a great option is the Case-Mate Brushed Aluminum Case.
It’s resistive, good-looking and well built. Can’t really ask for much more here.
Shieldon Leather Wallet Case
Some of you just can’t handle metal, rubber or plastic. Why not go for something a little more classy and multi-functional? A leather wallet case may be what you prefer, and I happen to be a big fan of the Shieldon Leather Wallet Case.
It is made of 100% cowhide leather and has all the necessary slots for storing your IDs, credit cards, cash and whatever you can fit in it.
Poetic Apple iPhone 6 Plus Bumper Case
We simply had to pick a good bumper case, which also offer a good way to protect your smartphone without sacrificing much from looks. Poetic’s bumper case happens to be my favorite in this category.
I hate when bumper cases have a transparent back, so that is a plus for me. This bumper case will protect your phone against most drops and scratches, keeping the phone away from most flat surfaces. It looks very minimalistic and takes care of the job.
