Looking for some fun games to play on your smartphone or tablet? First-person shooters are among the most popular around, so we thought a good list of our favorite titles was due.

The games listed below are among the most popular FPS titles for mobile, so we are sure you will like more than one of them. Also, we will do our best to list as many multi-platform games as possible. Sadly, we are a bit limited with some games, but there is enough fun for everyone.

Deus Ex: The Fall

Deus Ex: The Fall continues to be my personal favorite FPS title. The game has it all. It’s set on a futuristic environment in which technology has advanced to the point of human augmentation. The protagonist is an augmented mercenary trying to restore peace in this in-game community.

  • Buy Deus Ex: The Fall from the Apple App Store for $6.99
  • Buy Deus Ex: The Fall from the Google Play Store for $0.99

Call of Duty: Strike Team

You didn’t think we would leave out the Call of Duty games, right? Well, of course we had one CoD game to share, even though there aren’t many for mobile. Call of Duty: Strike Team is very interesting. The game mixes first-person and third-person shooting elements to make a very dynamic experience.

  • Buy Call of Duty: Strike Team from the Apple App Store for $6.99
  • Buy Call of Duty: Strike Team from the Google Play Store for $6.99

Dead Trigger 2

Dead Trigger 2 mixes your favorite FPS elements with the undead factor many of us love. Your enemies are zombies! There’s more than enough action to throw around with this game, but the best part is that the game is free to play. Go get it!

  • Download Dead Trigger 2 from the Apple App Store
  • Download Dead Trigger 2 from the Google Play Store
  • Download Dead Trigger 2 from the Windows Phone App Store

Modern Combat 5: Blackout

Modern Combat is another one of those FPS franchises you just have to add to these lists, but it’s one that was born and evolved for mobile alone. The 5th iteration, Blackout, comes with an improved set of weapons, graphics and a richer story that should keep you more involved in the game.

  • Download Modern Combat 5: Blackout from the Apple App Store
  • Download Modern Combat 5: Blackout from the Google Play Store
  • Download Modern Combat 5: Blackout from the Windows Phone App Store

Mass Effect Infiltrator

The Mass Effect trilogy is one of the most popular console FPS franchises. The game mixes elements of FPS, action, adventure and even RPG games. You can get a taste of this experience with the mobile installment, Mass Effect Infiltrator. It has great graphics, an immersive story and intense amounts of action.

  • Buy Mass Effect Infiltrator from the Apple App Store for $4.99
  • Buy Mass Effect Infiltrator from the Google Play Store for $6.99
  • Buy Mass Effect Infiltrator from the Windows Phone App Store for $1.49

N.O.V.A. 3

N.O.V.A. 3 is the perfect first-person shooter for the gamer with a preference for futuristic settings and alien enemies. I also happen to love this game’s multi-player modes, which allows for 12 players and great maps.

  • Buy N.O.V.A. 3 from the Apple App Store for $6.99
  • Buy N.O.V.A. 3 from the Google Play Store for $6.99
  • Buy N.O.V.A. 3 from the Windows Phone App Store for $6.99
