We have pushed out all the CES content you could ever need. You can take a look at every single CES 2015 article we have posted, but we know some of you just want to go straight to the very best of the show.
As you can expect, there is no shortage of awesome gadgets and products to take a look at in the madness that was the CES show floor. Some of these announcements managed to stand out among the crowd, though, and those are the ones we are taking a look at today.
Want to know what the hottest devices of CES 2015 are? Let’s jump right into our curated list. We’ll organize them from 10 to 1, with #1 being the best (of course). You can also click on the titles to go straight to our hands-on coverage of each device.
10 – ZTE Nubia Z7
We had an awesome meeting with ZTE before the show started. This is where we took a look at some of their upcoming devices. Among them was the ZTE Nubia Z7, a smartphone with very powerful specs and camera software that will take your mobile photography to the next level.
I am especially fond of this one because I am a current ZTE Nubia 5S Mini user, a phone that comes with nearly identical camera software. It really makes a difference, guys.
I love that you can set your specific markers anywhere in the image. For example, you can set where you want your focus to be, where you want the camera to balance exposure and where you want it to estimate white balance from. All of this could be somehow done via editing, but those who care about pictures know it’s always best to get the picture as good as possible from the get-go.
Martian Watch has always been known for making very aesthetically pleasing smart watches. More specifically, they are known for manufacturing devices that look like actual watches. And that is because, in a way, they actually are.
You can learn all the details by clicking the title and heading to our hands-on coverage. Today we are focusing on a special partnership Martian arranged with Guess. Yes, the same Guess we all know – a fashion company.
Of course, this partnership resulted in the best looking smart watches I have ever seen. These may be a bit large, but they will look good with any suit and will make you proud of wearing them. These things are truly gorgeous, and they can do anything a Martian Watch can.
8 – HTC Desire 826
I am a fan of the work that HTC has been doing with its devices lately. Their high-end phones are among the best, and their affordable handsets are simply amazing. This is why I was excited to see the HTC Desire 826 at CES 2015.
This phone comes with great, albeit mid-end, specs, but it should be a great deal with a lower price. Aside from the great set of specs, the device comes with an Ultra Pixel front-facing camera, which is really where it belongs.
This Ultra Pixel shooter will help bring much better low-light capabilities and camera performance. Most devices have subpar front-facing cameras, so it’s good to see HTC making it right with the Desire 826.
This one is a bit of an interesting one. Here at Mobile Geeks we love Sony, but we have never been big fans of their smart watches. They are simply not that great looking, and don’t really offer any features the others don’t.
Sony really surprised us at CES 2015, though. They brought over a smart Watch that is actually pretty awesome. What’s different? Almost nothing, really. Everything is the same, except that it’s made out of metal.
It’s funny how the Sony SmartWatch 3 Steel Series became so much better just because of switching the material to a better quality one. For some reason it’s now worlds apart, even though the actual design is the exact same.
6 – ASUS ZenFone 2
ASUS just can’t go to a large show without surprising us. And we are not just talking about their over-dramatic press conferences, their products are usually amazing, and at prices the competition can’t really go against.
This year at CES they announced the ASUS ZenFone 2, a not-so-mid-end device priced at a mere $200… off contract! Of course, this would be for the base version, but you can upgrade this phone to have up to 4 GB of RAM.
But even at its base model, it is still looking better than most $200 smartphones out there. And we mean that in both the figurative and literal senses. The phone does look pretty good!
5 – LG G Flex 2
LG has turned the G Flex into a success, a phone that we never thought would be a big hit. It seems the super curved display is enough to get everyone going nuts, so LG has decided to announce a successor – the LG G Flex 2.
This phone is actually kind of awesome. The screen’s curve is very accented, but the design and build quality of the phone has been greatly improved. The device looks more similar to an LG G3, with a sleeker body and the flush rear buttons.
In addition, its specs have been greatly improved. This devices comes with a Snapdragon 810 processor, 2 GB of RAM and a 5.5-inch 1080p display. Not to mention, the beloved self-healing back is still there!
It is now customary for Sony to come to CES with at least one TV that blows everything else right out of the water. The Japanese manufacturer sure knows how to make some great TVs, but this time they have outdone themselves.
Let me introduce you to my very favorite TV at CES 2015. This is the Sony Bravia X900C, a large 4K TV running Android TV. The image is stunning and the smart features will make you fall in love, but it’s when you look around the side when your mind is actually blown.
What surprises you most is that if you go around the TV you can almost lose sight of it. This thing is thin! In fact, thinner than most smartphones at only 0.2 inches of thickness.
I fell in love with this little convertible from the first moment I laid eyes on it. This 9-inch tablet/laptop hybrid can take care of all your computing needs (unless you need to use very heavy apps) without forcing you to carry a large machine.
In fact, I think I may jut buy this device for when I have to work on-the-go. And because it’s a convertible, it also works as a great tablet or multimedia device.
The device will come with a 1.4 Ghz quad-core Intel Atom Z3775, 2 GB of RAM, 32/64 GB of internal storage and an 8.9-inch 1280x800p display. All powered by Windows 8.1. Truly a beauty!
2 – Razer Forge TV
The Razer Forge TV got a good deal of awards at CEs 2015, and for a good reason – this thing is freaking awesome! The Razer Forge TV is an Android TV made with a gaming twist. And unlike most other Razer products, it is actually priced very well at $150.
Of course, the device will come packed with powerful specs that will be able to take your gaming to the next step. In addition, Razer has taken it upon itself to make a worthy controller and keyboard for the Forge TV.
To make the deal even sweeter, the little Android TV box will also be able to stream Steam games from your PC. I can’t wait to get my hands on one of these. Seriously.
1 – Dell XPS 13
A common question at CES (and any other trade show) is always: “what is the coolest thing you have seen at the show floor?”. Let me tell you – if I had to choose one favorite product from CES 2015, it would be the Dell XPS 13 laptop.
This thing is gorgeous. The 13-inch display comes in two forms, matte and glossy. The main difference here is that the matte version doesn’t come with a touchscreen panel. This makes the matte version much more affordable, starting at $799, as opposed to $1299.
Regardless of your preference, you really can’t go wrong with this one. There is just no way. This laptop is a total winner.
Now, what is your favorite gadget from CES 2015? Let us know in the comments!
