A common question at any event is “what is your favorite device at the show?”, and I chose my CES favorite a whole day before the show even started. ASUS has blown the competition out of the water with its latest affordable phone – the ASUS ZenFone 2.
The device simply has no match! But before we keep geeking out about this phone let us show you why this phone is so exciting. Let’s jump into the specs!
ASUS ZenFone 2 specs
- 5.5-inch 1080p display
- 2.3 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3560 / 1.8 GHz quad-core Intel Atom Z3580
- 2/4 GB of RAM
- 16/32/64 GB of internal storage
- 13MP/5MP cameras
- 3000 mAh battery
Would you say that is worth $200? I would have never guessed that was the starting price. In fact, I had to double check, because I was swearing that had to be an on-contract price.
For $200 you can only get devices like the Moto G, and that phone doesn’t even compare with the ASUS ZenFone 2’s base model.
We used the device for a while and it felt very good and worked well. There was no apparent lag or any issues. Not to mention, it seems to have a great camera. We tested the HDR function and compared it with a Samsung Galaxy S5. The ZenFone actually did perform better.
Oh, and it comes in a variety of colors and unique designs, just in case you want to really go all out and make this device your very own.
I have a feeling this is really going to help ASUS enter the USA market with the push it needs. Not to mention, many other markets can take advantage of this phone, which offers the best bang for your buck in the affordable market, in my opinion.
Check out the video and let us know what you think! As for me, I will likely start recommending this phone to those who are looking for a good phone on the low. Luckily, it releases come March 2015, which is very soon.
