Intel’s Haswell processor continues its integration in most of the high end devices we’re seeing at Computex 2013. ASUS has upgraded its Zenbook UX31 LA with the Haswell CPU. We got a good look at the latest Zenbook today.
With their line of Zenbooks, ASUS has created a classic series of ultrabooks. At first glance, the UX31 LA looks the same as its predecessor, but under the hood the processor tells a very different story. Intel’s Haswell chip amps up the power of ASUS’s Zenbook dramatically.
The 13.3 inch display resolution is 1920 x 1080; Full HD instead of just plain old HD which was on the last model. The Haswell-CPU also replaces the earlier generation Ivy Bridge processor. The housing is sturdy and well made with a nice finish. As for memory, ASUS has packed in a 512 GB SSD.
A bigger battery also adds power to the UX31 LA. With the Zenbook UX31, ASUS already had a winner, but these small and key improvements really up the ante. We still haven’t heard any news on the price, but with the new power packed inside the Zenbook, it should be worth it. Check out our hands on for more:
