We are still roaming the Computex 2015 show floor, looking for the hottest gadgets the industry has to offer. You bet we couldn’t miss the ASUS Pen Stick, and so we are here giving you a good look at it.
This is certainly not a pen, so don’t go paying attention to what the device’s name entails. This is actually an HDMI dongle that can power any screen and turn it into a computer. We have seen several attempts at making something like this, but we really feel ASUS hit the nail right in the head with this one.

Not bad, right? This is pretty much a low-end computer that will be able to take care of plenty of your casual tasks. Its power is comparable to that of many Windows tablets and ultra portable laptops, yet you can throw it in any of your pockets and go about your daily routines without a hassle.
I think this would be great for students or office workers. You can just leave peripherals at home and in your office (or wherever you need to work from) and carry your computer with you wherever you may go.
You can argue a laptop may be better, but remember those devices are bulkier and not everyone needs full portability. Not to mention, the ASUS Pen Stick will be much more affordable than your usual laptop. It will retail for $150 when it launches, in Q4 of 2015.
Sadly, we weren’t able to really test it, but we can tell you it should work great and it’s a very well built little gadget. Hopefully we can get our hands on a review unit soon, so we can tell you all about it!
