The ASUS PadFone surprised and impressed us the first time around with its handy dandy 3-in-1 attitude. As with any innovation, the first series had its glitches and we anticipated that the second generation would bring about a few key changes. Now, benchmark results for the ASUS PadFone 2 have been leaked!
The AnTuTu benchmark score results indicate that the CPU will be running at 1.5 GHz and should be a quad core and the 3-in-1 should have 3 GB RAM. The GL Benchmarks enlighten us further with the likelihood that the ASUS PadFone 2 will be running the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro MSM8960. This would be interesting news given that the CPU in question has 4G LTE support and the Adreno 320 GPU.
The tests also show that Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich will be on the Padfone, not, Jelly Bean. Rumor has it we might even be able to ring in the new year with the ASUS PadFone 2. Or at least, celebrate its existence at CES or MWC.
