We’re excited to welcome Bosch as a new sponsor for MobileGeeks.de & MobileGeeks.com! Bosch is a global player in the areas we feel are the most exciting in tech: Automotive and Smart Cities. While many sectors have become predictable, Automotive and Smart Cities are two sectors we’re still figuring out what the future looks like. Bosch has fingers on the pulse of both industries, and we’re excited to continue paying attention to our increasingly connected lives.
The way that humanity communicates has changed with the available technology. Telegrams, phones, mobile phones, the internet and now we’re about to enter the next phase where we’re not only connected to each other but with the world around us.
What has us so excited about covering Connected Life is that it’s unclear what the best way forward is. We’re still trying to figure out how this evolution will affect us on a personal level.
Navigating such a fundamental change starts with laying a foundation and ends with the consumer.
Being connected is more than just asking your car to show you what’s inside your fridge on the way to the store: it’s about creating an ecosystem and understanding how that ecosystem can truly add value to your life.
Connected Life is about changing the way that we access, consume and act upon information while we’re on the go.
We are delighted that Bosch is a new sponsor of Mobile Geeks because their role in the ecosystem is one of fundamental enablement. By being one of the world’s largest automotive suppliers, they have a hand in the evolution of the autonomous car and the services the car of the future will be able to provide. Connected Cities, Health and E-Mobility are also on their agenda and these are some of the most interesting areas in tech because the outcomes aren’t predictable. Smartphones and laptops are merely iterative and, let’s be honest, that coverage is getting repetitive.
What makes this partnership so interesting for us is that we get to explore the Connected Life, looking ahead at what mobility will look like in the future. Mobile Geeks will take a deep dive into the ecosystem to identify the stories that are going to emerge as trends.
Bosch connects systems both inside and outside the vehicle and implements complex as well as intelligent mobility solutions, from smart cars, to smart homes and smart cities (in which we live). The company manufactures customer-specific solutions for conventional and electric drivers and has built up large capacities in the hardware and software fields over the last decade.
With our new “Connected Life” Hub, we want to go beyond the obvious area of “smart cars” and look at what our relationships are going to look like with the world around us. How will life look in an intelligent city, and how will “smart” mobility concepts change our everyday life? Will we keep contact with our friends and family over, Facebook or Twitter wearing a virtual, augmented, or mixed reality glasses? What role will personal assistants play in our lives? We’re looking to monitor the evolution of our more connected lives.
As with all our themes, we are relying on you as readers. We’re here to report on the questions you’re asking. Be sure to share your own ideas, hopes, concerns and let us know what is important to you – and what’s not.
