The Archos GamePad is a 7″ tablet running Android 4.1, its claim to fame are the physical buttons and joystick found on the sides of which give it a gaming focus. It also comes with a mini-HDMI output which allows it to be connected to a variety of peripherals including a TV.
Under the hood we’ve got a dual-core CPU the RK3066 which is based on ARM Cortex A9 architecture and quad-core Mali 400 graphics processors alongside 8GB of internal storage with a MicroSD card slot for expansion. It also features USB host functionality so you can connect an external USB mouse or keyboard and you can even connect a 3G dongle if you choose to.
We are testing the new Archos GamePad with various external USB devices like a keyboard, mouse, HDD, memory stick and even a 3G stick.
