Apple faces negative press due to the celebrity nude image hack, all while HTC and Motorola are making headlines with their latest products.
Apple probably did not have a good weekend after a major list of celebrities’ iCloud accounts were hacked. Private (nude) images were posted all over the internet, some proving to be real while others were unconfirmed.
Regardless, it’s a mess and a huge invasion of privacy for those affected. These are photos that were never intended to reach other people’s hands, and they were all taken from iCloud. This could prove to be bad news for all iCloud users, which is why Apple says they are “actively investigating the report”.
“We take user privacy very seriously and are actively investigating this report.” -Natalie Kerris, Apple
We have been hearing about the HTC Volantis/Flounder, which is said to be an upcoming Nexus tablet. Rumors now say there are some official accessories in the works, one of them being a nice keyboard case.
The bluetooth 4.0 keyboard is said to come with a 450 mAh battery and an NFC chip for easy pairing. The most interesting part is probably it’s form-factor and functionality, though. The foldable area transform into a triangular stand for your tablet. When the keyboard is not in use, you can use it like a regular case/folio.
Opinion: It looks like Google is really focusing on functionality this time around. A 9-inch (4:3) form-factor can get much more work done, especially if paired with an accessory like this.
Hot on the heels for the Moto X+1, recent rumors have given us a great look at the new device. A new leak has shown up, though, giving is a sneak peek at what could be Verizon’s computer system.
A said New Moto X is showing up in the list, in both black and white/bamboo. It seems it will also be available through Moto Maker, in both 16 GB and 32 GB versions.
Opinion: Most Moto X+1 leaks seem to be linked to Verizon. Could this mean there will be a launch exclusive of sorts? Let’s hope not.
