Nothing but good news and announcements this morning. We have news on a new Amazon reader, OnePlus pre-orders and a shareable Spotify plan.
Amazon is now all over the mobile market, but its Kindle business continues t be among the most successful of their projects. We were starting to wonder if a new reader would be announced soon, and the time to show it off has finally come.
Amazon has just unveiled the Voyage, a gorgeous quality e-reader for the avid readers out there. The device is a one-of-a-kind. It is the thinnest Kindle reader around, measuring only 7.6 mm in thickness.
It also comes with a very unique design and good build. And we can’t forget the built in Paperwhite display – which, by the way, has a stunning 300 ppi resolution). The only problem here is that the Kindle Voyage is priced a bit high.
You can pre-order the Amazon Kindle Voyage for $199, and it should start shipping on November 23rd.
Opinion: At $199 I feel like the Voyage is a little too much for a reader. It may be worth its price, as it is a great device, but there are much cheaper options out there. I would get the Kindle Paperwhite before the Voyage and save myself $80.
The OnePlus invite system can be a bit complicated, even annoying to some, which is why we are happy to announce OnePlus is finally taking the next step. The Chinese manufacturer is ready to move on to the pre-order system.
Sadly, the pre-order window will only last an hour, but it is an hour in which anyone can pre-order the device and be told when it will be shipped. This pre-order hour will open up on October 27th at 8 AM PST. Be ready!
Opinion: So many users want this device, now it’s time to put your money where your mouth is. Will you be pre-ordering a OnePlus One? Also, don’t forget some of OnePlus’ accessories will also be discounted.
Spotify has become one of the most popular streaming services, but not everyone can afford to pay for premium and take full advantage of the service. This is why Spotify has announced its new Spotify Family plans.
These new plans allow you to add up to 4 users to your account (for a total of 5 accounts). The prices are quite simple. Just add $5 per extra user you want in your account. A $14.99 plan pays for two, $19.99 pays for three and so on.
Opinion: This is not really a bad deal for those who need multiple accounts. It will be launching globally “in the coming weeks” so stay tuned if you want to sign up.
