The Acer Liquid X2 will be one of the best options for people in two niche markets. The phone is a pretty good overall device, but where it really shines is in battery life and the front-facing camera.
Interested? We are at Computex 2015 getting very close and personal with it, so let’s tell you more about it.
Acer Liquid X2 specs
- Android 5.1 Lollipop
- 5.5-inch 1280x800p IPS LCD screen
- 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor
- 13 MP rear-facing camera
- 13 MP front facing f/1.8 camera
- 4000 mAh battery
- Triple-SIM card support
So as you can see we are lacking some specs. The main issue here is we don’t really know how much RAM and internal storage this device will come with. We know this phone is a mid-range device, though, and it should perform as such.
We can also see it has triple-SIM card support, whihc is another very unique factor in the equation. We have seen plenty of dual-SIM options, but so far this is the first device I have seen supporting three SIM cards.
And of course, this phone has an amazing battery life. A 4000 mAh battery is nothing to scoff at, and it’s something you won’t find even in the best of gadgets out there, even though larger batteries are what we have been begging for all along.
This happens to be a selfie beast, too. the Acer Liquid X2 comes packed with a 13 MP front-facing camera that sports an f/1.8 aperture. This is stunning, as even full-size camera lenses struggle to get such wide aperture. We can save the explanations for another day, but I can tell you this aperture will allow more light in, which means shutter speed can be faster and photos will be crisper, as well as less noisy.
We tested it for a bit and loved it. Photos are good, and the wider aperture also improves the bokeh (otherwise known as the cool blurry background effect).
It’s a pretty awesome phone, to be honest. We are not sure when it will be released or how much it will cost, but we know some of you will love it. You can be sure we will let you know more details as soon as we come across them.
