The Acer Iconia 10 is a 10 inch Android tablet that runs Android Kit Kat on a sleek looking and lightweight design that will be available in Q4 of this year for a retail price of around $200. Mobile Geeks were on hand just before the IFA 2014 show kicked off to get some early hands on time with Acer’s new 10 incher:
Don’t forget to watch our video of the Acer Iconia tab 10 at the Acer booth:
The Iconia Tab 10A will be available in black or white and includes a micro HDMI port, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, a headphone jack, Micro HDMI, micro USB 2.0 and a microSD card slot. The device also offers wireless display capability, so you can share photos and videos on a bigger screen with friends and family. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat) and is powered by a MediaTek MT8217 quad-core processor backed by 2GB of RAM.
Although we don’t know the exact figure in grams yet, our time with the Iconia tab 10 revealed the overall weight of the device to be pretty impressive. The screen we looked at was in fact a 1280 x 752 resolution IPS LCD panel, but we were told that a Full 1900 x 1200 version will be available at launch. The display also sports zero gap technology which removes a layer between the glass and the panel, thus making the image crisper and sharper. The display we looked at in the video above certainly looked reasonably good, but we are looking forward to the full HD version.
