Intel has made it clear that smartphones are at the top of their to do list and we have gotten the invitation for Motorla’s launch event for their latest Intel based smartphone on September 18th, ZTE has decided to launch something here at IFA.
The Grand X IN, an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich power smartphone with Intel logo branded across the back.Under the hood is a Medfield based Atom X2460 and will be in ZTE’s mid to high end smartphone range when it launches next month, replacing the Grand X.
You get a 4.3in qHD display with predictable 8-megapixel rear camera and a VGA cam on the front. The mid-range flavor continues with 1GB of RAM and either 4GB or 16GB of on-board storage plus a microSD card slot.
The Grand X IN is 4G-rated (HSPA+) up to 21Mbps and comes with both Intel Hyper-Threading Technology and Intel XMM 6260 Platform capabilities for high-speed connectivity. It also comes with a 1,650mAh battery is promised to be good for “all-day use” which they claimed meant 26 hours of real life usage.
