The Shield Tablet is heading out the door! There is also a very interesting rumored device from HTC, and LG is ready to release a couple new G3 colors.
When it comes to gaming Android devices, you can’t do much better than the Shield devices. The Shield Tablet is the most recent, and it was announced just last week. Can’t wait any longer? Don’t worry, the device has just started shipping to those who pre-ordered it, and it is now available from multiple retailers.
Starting at $299, we must say this tablet is a steal. It packs a Tegra K1 processor, 2 GB of RAM, Android 4.4.2, 5 MP cameras and an 8-inch Full HD display. The NVIDIA website has a healthy list of retailers where it is available. By the way, Best Buy is included, and your nearest store may already have it in stock.
Opinion: The NVIDIA Shield Tablet is quite the gem. I wouldn’t doubt to purchase one if I was in need of a tablet. Will you be signing up to get one? Go ahead and check out our first impressions on the device if you are still not sure.
Rumors of an HTC One to come with Windows Phone have simulated the likes of the Loch Ness monster legend. Everyone talks about it, but no true evidence of its existence ever emerges… until today. Recent rumors claim the mythical device will be coming on August 21st.
Rumors say a version of the HTC One M8 will come with Microsoft’s mobile operating system. This device would be labeled “HTC One M8 for Windows”, and it’s expected to be just like the Android device we have grown to love.
Opinion: As always, we will advice that you take this rumor with a grain of salt. With that said, a little dreaming never hurt anyone. The HTC One M8 is an amazingly built smartphone. Windows Phone is an amazingly developed software. Can this equation result in the best option for Windows Phone users?
The LG G3 has been out for a while now, but not all the announced colors are available. We know many of you have been waiting, but the delay is soon to conclude. LG has told Phone Arena that two new colors are coming in August: Moon Violet and Burgundy Red.
“Additional G3 colors such as Moon Violet and Burgundy Red will be rolled out in select markets starting in August and continuing over several weeks. Exact colors and dates will be decided locally in conjunction with carriers. Announcements will be made in each market at the time of availability.”
Opinion: You heard it! Even if these colors are released, we don’t know which carriers will pick them up. I can bet Verizon will be all over the red version, though.
