The race to jam as pixels into our display’s has turned into a marathon and at the moment Sharp has pulled ahead with the craziest screen we’ve seen in a while. At CEATEC 2012 we were able to go hands on, or eyes on with a 6.1″ IGZO display that has a phenomenal 498ppi.
This is a higher pixel density count than we’ve seen in anything that is currently on the market or that is about to roll out. If you’re wondering what exactly this means this 6.1″ IGZO display has a resolution count of 2560 x 1600, which is basically what you would find in your average 30″ desktop monitor.
