Let’s start by reiterating that yes, the Samsung Galaxy S6 is night and day compared to other Galaxy smartphones. The device now uses more premium materials, which include actual metal and fortified glass. Forget those flimsy Samsung phones! The Korean manufacturer is really making up for all its previous mistakes here.
The fingerprint reader has also been improved greatly. We literally tried to get it to fail and we were only able to accomplish it a couple times. This really does put Samsung up there with Apple’s Touch ID technology.
We also love that Samsung has included wireless charging and Quick Charge technology. Battery life should be good, but the Galaxy S line never really went too crazy in this department either. It’s nice to see Samsung is at least improving on charging technology.
We are also taking a quick look at the camera, which is one of Samsung’s biggest selling points. Optical image stabilization seems to do wonders, aperture is great at f/1.9 and images come out great, as a result. We are just not too happy with the front-facing camera. But really, who ever is?
Digging into the software you can find that Samsung is still rocking its heavy UI, even if it has been improved. It is true that spam and bloatware has been improved, though. The notification area does stay similar to previous generations.
We have much more to show you, so make sure you watch the video embedded below for all the details. We also have a full review coming, so make sure to stay tuned for that!
