If you are on the lookout for a replacement high end Android smartphone and are spoilt for choice, things would be even more difficult in the months to come. We have fresh news coming in about the possibility of Samsung coming up with the third generation Galaxy Note phablet by September this year.

First reports of the possibility of the Galaxy Note 3 were leaked late last month when there were some publications which claimed that the Note 3 is expected to be mass produced in August. It was only logical then that the device could see a September announcement.

Now Ubergizmo reports that Samsung in all likelihood will be announcing the Galaxy Note 3 on September 4 during one of its famed “Unpacked” events. To be noted is the fact that this date coincides with IFA 2013 which is scheduled a few days later at Berlin.

Samsung has traditionally launched many of its premium devices on the eve of large trade shows and for the same reason, there is a good chance that this rumor might just turn out to be true. All said, Samsung has not yet issued any sort of invites to the press. As always, we advise you to take this with the traditional pinch of salt since at this point in time, this is just an uncorroborated rumor.

Think I’m going with the Nokia phablet. If pictures are correct, if my be all metal…….and of course, the Nokia 1020 with 41mp ,crushing, shall we say destroying the competition. I like those new camera videos on Nokia Channel, YouTube…..very impressive.
