It’s March 14th already – the day the much awaited successor to the Galaxy S3 is to be announced. There have already been a couple of leaks pertaining to the Galaxy S4 in the past few days – including a video that showed the handset in somewhat detail. And hours before the launch event is scheduled to kick start in NewYork, we have fresh photographs and specification details of the Galaxy S4 emerging from the Far East.
The photos have been leaked by Chinese forum it168 – which has in the past too leaked many “soon to be launched” phones. Folks from over at the Chinese version of Engadget seem to have deciphered the specifications of this device which prima facie seems to be something like this:
The display would measure 4.99 inches across and would be full HD in nature. Under the hood would be Samsung’s own Exynos 5410 which happens to be an 8 core chip running at 1.8Ghz. The graphics part would be handled by the PowerVR SGX 544MP3 GPU.
The handset in the picture weighs 138 grams and is quite thin for a flagship at just 7.7mm. There would be 2 GB of RAM and like all Samsung Galaxy handsets of the past, this one would support memory expansion using microSd cards as well. The battery on this thing is rumored to be rated at 2600mAh – which we hope is true. Lastly, the forum also talks about the rumored Smart Stay eye tracking technology. There is also talk going on about a new feature on the S4 that would let users hover their fingers over the S4 display to create a Galaxy Note II S-Pen like effect.

Anyway, all this should be cleared in a few hours from now.
