Samsung has issued invitations for an event they are holding on the 20th of July 2013. The invitation hints towards the probability of Samsung launching new Windows Phone based Ativ devices along with a bunch of new Android powered Galaxy branded handsets as well.
It is pertinent to note that the date of the event is just 10 days post Apple’s scheduled keynote presentation at its WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference). Apple is expected to show off the new versions of its iOS and OSX platforms there. There are also pointers towards the possibility of Apple introducing new upgraded MacBook models there which would feature Intel’s brand new Haswell processors. What is not expected however are new iPhone and iPad models – which many think would see the light of the day only by the end of the year.
As for the launches on June 20, as of now we are not entirely sure what the line up would look like. There is talk about the Galaxy S4 Mini though, which was recently seen in leaked images. There is no clarity on the specs of the new Windows Phone based Ativ devices either. The Samsung event would be held at London at 8 p.m. local time in London. The event will be live streamed via Samsung Mobile’s official YouTube account.
