Macbook lovers have upgraded laptops to look at, Motorola is offering a neat discount on accessories and the Xiaomi Mi4 is a success. This and more right after the break!
Apple doesn’t always make a big deal about its new hardware, especially when the improvements are small. Such is the case with this year’s Macbook Pro with Retina Display hardware upgrade. The new computers look and operate exactly the same, but there are some improvements in their specs and prices.
The Haswell processors have been clocked at 200 MHz higher. In addition, the base 15-inch Retina Macbook Pro has also been graced with 16 GB of RAM memory, doubling on the 8 GB it used to sport. The 13-inch laptops will keep the same price while the 15-inchers get a $100 price cut.
Opinion: We all love Apple’s sharp and crisp Retina Displays, but these require a good amount of raw power. This is why it’s so exciting to see these upgraded specs.
Motorola has gone ahead and discounted all its accessories by 10%, “just because.” That is literally their reasoning, and the coupon code reads “JUSTBECAUSE10”. So there you have it, guys. Head over to Motorola’s store and get your accessories for 10% off!
Opinion: And just in case you didn’t know, Motorola currently has Moto X and Droid cases discounted by 50%. Screen protectors are also 25% off.
A 1999 Yuan price point and stunning specs will usually result in amazing sale numbers, but Xiaomi is impressing us with their success. The Xiaomi Mi4 went on sale today, in China. The launch excitement lasted very little, as Xiaomi claims the new flagship smartphone was sold out in 37 seconds!
Opinion: The exact number of devices sold is unspecified, but there is no doubt the Mi4 had its fair share of demand. After all, Xiaomi sells out in minutes wherever it goes.
