Quanta sounds like some very odd, weird Chinese company. Well, they are actually Taiwanese, and you are very likely to have a device made by them at your home. They work closely with HP, Dell and other major companies, so you know they know how to handle their manufacturing.
So, what is this Quanta Compuplug we found hidden in the Computex 2015 hallways? Quanta is staying very quiet about it, but we do know it will run Windows 10. But how? This thing straight up looks like an old power brick.
You no longer need a big case in order to hold a computer; even one with enough power to run a full Desktop OS like Windows 10. This plug has a whole system integrated and you can see it has a couple USB 3.0 ports and an HDMI-out connector.
Life can’t be simpler with something like this. You just plug it into the wall and get your peripherals ready. You won’t even need desk space for a tower. Hopefully we see a manufacturer pick this one up. It seems like a great solution for casual HTPC users. Check out the video and let us know what you think. Would you buy something like this?
