At CES 2014, we took a look at the 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor on a new reference tablet made by the chip maker for demonstration purposes.
The reference tablet features all the high-end specifications we expect to see on upcoming mobile devices this year, but most importantly, it’s powered by the new Snapdragon 805 SoC.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805 is the company’s first-ever 64-bit processor and its arrival really changes the mobile processing game dramatically. The reference tablet we saw at CES combined the 805 with the brand-new Adreno 420 graphics processor, which promises incredible graphics performance for mobile devices. The Snapdragon 805 is regarded by many as a giant leap forward, especially in terms of gaming on mobile devices.
