Nokia isn’t ignoring the mid range smartphone market and the Lumia 510 falls right into that category. This Windows Phone 7.5 handset clearly falls into the line up device that Nokia hope will bridge the gap between its Symbian handsets and the Windows Phones that are clearly aimed at developing countries. We were able to get our hands on the new device while riding a bus from Helsinki to Tampere.
It sports a 4 inch display that has a screen resolution of 480×800 and it is powered by an 800MHz Snapdragon processor with 256MB of RAM. It is not looking to win any speed races but be an affordable Windows Phone, it also features a 5MP rear-facing camera, 4GB of internal storage, 7GB of free Microsoft Skydrive cloud storage and a 1,300mAh battery.
In typical Nokia style it will come in a range of colors including black, white, yellow, pink and blue. There is no official word on pricing but it should be in the $200 range and you can expect it to hit the street in India and China next month.
