It was just days ago that we first talked and heard about Nokia’s upcoming Windows Phone powered phablet codenamed the Bandit. This device is supposed to get a large 6 inch display – making it the largest phone that Nokia has ever built. Now we have a fresh leak from evleaks which says that this device would officially see the light of the day as the Lumia 1520. In a tweet, the usually trustworthy @evleaks simply stated “Nokia Bandit = Lumia 1520”. It is interesting to see that Nokia is trying hard at making large screened devices all of a sudden. It was just yesterday that we reported about Nokia also reportedly making a 10.1 inch tablet.
Now, moving on to the Bandit – or the Lumia 1520 as it might be called is likely to sport a high end Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset – either the 600 or the 800. We have already mentioned that the device would get the usual unibody polycarbonate look that Nokia has been doling out since the Lumia 800. Apart from this there is too little information pertaining to this mythical device. That said, let me remind you of the fact that Nokia seems to be having a hard time keeping its future handsets from getting leaked and for the same reason, we do expect a few leaked images of the 1520 in the days to come.
Like always, I would always advice you to take this report as just an unconfirmed rumor at this stage.
