In the midst of all the action at IFA, we have some news coming out of Finland. While Nokia might have given away its handsets division to Microsoft, the company already has a plethora of handsets in the pipeline – if we are to go by the kind of leaks we are witnessing nowadays.
Last week, we had reported about the mythical Nokia “Bandit” Phablet that Nokia was reportedly working on. This device, rumored to get a 6 inch display – the largest ever on a Windows Phone device. Now, we have a leaked image coming in from the famous evleaks Twitter account which has in the past accurately posted information of soon to be launched handsets. The leaked image is supposedly an official press image of the Lumia 1520 “Bandit” which Nokia is expected to launch in the next few months.
The Bandit is rumored to be the first Lumia to get a full HD display which should look great on the 6 inch panel. The design language of the phone remains the same with it seemingly carrying the same polycarbonate body seen on most of the current high end Lumias. The device is also expected to be powered by a powerful Quad Core Qualcomm chipset – either the Snapdragon 600 or the all powerful 800.
Note that at this point in time, this happens to be just an uncorroborated rumor. I would advise you to take this one too with the usual pinch of salt. That said, that leaked image looks quite convincing, doesn’t it?!
