Motorola’s upcoming Nexus is not staying very well hidden. Meanwhile, the new iPhone keeps spreading across the world and Samsung could finally be launching Tizen.
We have seen a couple leaks of the Motorola Shamu, a device that is said to be the upcoming Nexus (Nexus 6 or Nexus X). The first was a rendered image based on an original phone, while the second was a picture showing the back of the device, right next to an LG G3.
Today we have another leak coming from Droid Life’s comments. User “shamushamwow” posted an under-exposed image of a device displaying the “About Phone” section. We can’t get much from this, but a bit of photshopping did show a Motorola phone and a hand holding it.
Opinion: We can’t get much from the details in this screenshot. The only important part is the kernel, which does come from Google. This may well be the next Nexus!
Apple is not letting the #bendgate put them down. In fact, the Cupertino giant has decided to expand its reach and now the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are available in 20 more countries!
These new countries include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Turkey and United Arab Emirates.
This is on top of the current markets, which are the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the UK.
Opinion: It won’t be long before the new iPhone devices are all over the world. Apple is good at that, after all. Are you signing up for a new iPhone?
Tizen has been delayed and rumors say the project may have been put on a permanent hold. We are not sure what could be happening, but new rumors indicate Samsung is releasing the device soon.
Anonymous sources say the device will be a super low-end, affordable smartphone that could be coming to emerging markets like India. It will run on Tizen 2.3 and have dual SIM slots, as well as FM radio.
Opinion: Tizen seems to be an unstable project, so I wouldn’t hold my breath on these details. Not only do we not know if these rumors are true or not, but Samsung could just as easily change plans.
