We are coming up on the time of year where Google is going to be releasing it’s next generation smartphone, it has been a year since the Galaxy Nexus. Rumor has it that LG was to be the Google next handset partner and now we have a leaked photo of what may be the next Google smartphone targeted at developers. Below are photos leaked by baraholka.onliner.by that show the front of a handset with a curved edge much like the Galaxy Nexus and a back that reminds us a little of the Optimus G.
Next up in the rumor mill is a 10 inch Galaxy Tablet the Galaxy Tab 10 that is supposedly in the works by Google from Samsung. No photos to go with on this one, but the source for this gossip comes from Richard Shim, an analyst at NPD DisplaySearch. He claims that the 10.1″ tablet with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 display and a 299 PPI (pixels per inch). To offer a comparison the new iPad has a 264 PPI on a 9.7″ display and a resolution of 2,048 x 1,536. Word has come from supply chain indications.
Shim wasn’t done there, he added that the $99 tablet that we heard about a few weeks ago was going to start manufacturing in December. Now all we’re waiting for is for Google to announce their launch event, last year it was October of 2011.
Which of these rumors do you think are true?

All
if Chinese manufacturer can make a decent tablet (Example : Ainol Elf2, Ainol Crystal etc.) and can sell it for $99, Why can’t Google do the same with huge resources?
Recently saw a 9.7″ 2048×1566 QuadCore 2GB ram tablet in Chinese market for around $279. Then again why can’t Google do it? Definitely they can..
You’re right, it’s not out of the question or totally crazy!
I won’t buy the next Nexus phone because I’m totally satisfied with my Galaxy Nexus. It fits my needs so I don’t need something new. The only thing that could change my mind is a Cortex A15 Quad-Core with the new Mali chips. Not because of speed at 2GHz or something but because of better battery power. I really want that 24h smartphone but it doesn’t exist today.
A 10″ Google Nexus Tablet would be awesome and I would definitly buy it, but who needs a 2560×1600 resolution?
I mean the maximum size of the content you find out there is 1080p. So why should displays on mobile devices have more resolution? On my desktop PC or 17″+ desktop replacement notebook thats ok but not on mobile stuff.
The 99$ tablet would be very cool and I think we could see such thing in the future. That will finally bring a tablet in every home.
Agreed, our content can’t handle it and it drives up the price. Apple has started a stupid game that’s only going to cost us more money at the register!
Very True.
