Lenovo has along with the Vibe X smartphone also announced the launch of its new tablet – the thin S5000. Measuring just 7.9 mm across, this one is claimed to be the amongst the slimmest tablets in the market. Weighing in at a shade under 250 grams this one features a 7 inch display with a 1280×800 pixel resolution. The display is quite bright with a claimed nit value of 350
There is a 1.6MP front-facing camera as well as a main camera that can capture images at 5 megapixels. It can also do videos.
Under the hood of the tablet is a MediaTek 8389 chipset that houses a Quad Core, 1.2 Ghz processor with support for HSPA and 3G connectivity. The tablet also supports “On the Go” USB port for storage expansion and for charging. Powering the hardware on this tablet is a 3450mAh battery that is rated for up to eight hours of non-stop WiFi web browsing or six hours of HD video viewing
