HTC has come out with a limited edition Butterfly S with a Hello Kitty design. There are only 3000 of these custom handsets on the market and they are only available in Taiwan for a limited time. It comes preloaded with 9 hello kitty wall papers and retails for NT$22,900 ($765) – the same price the Butterfly S went on sale for in Taiwan at the end of June. It offers the same specifications as the non kitty branded smartphone, it has a 5-inch 1080p display and runs Android Jelly Bean on a quad-core 1.9GHZ Snapdragon 600 processor. It also comes with an UltraPixel Camera, as well as a 2.1-megapixel front-facing wide-angle camera, and should provide plenty of juice from its 3,200 mAh battery.

Hello Kitty HTC Butterfly S Unboxing at the Hello Kity Restaurant

In true Hello Kitty fashion we head down to the Hello Kitty restaurant to take it out of the box and show you this high end top of the range smartphone, if you’re afraid of Pink then perhaps you should click away because it’s intense! I’ve got a bunch of photos of my experience and to let you know the meals didn’t come cheap, the Hello Kitty Bread Bowl with Seafood and Pesto Cream was 480NT or $16.25 and the Burger actually cost the same! Not exactly prices you expect to see in Taiwan, but I guess when Hello Kitty is involved anything goes!
