HTC LG and ASUS are making headlines with new product announcements and teasers. These include an affordable smartphone and two awesome smartwatches.
While HTC has great experience making well-built, affordable smartphones, but they never really make the cheapest phones around. Enter the HTC Desire 510, a device touted to be the most affordable 4G phone.
Specs include a 4.7-inch display, a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 processor, 1 GB of RAM, 8 GB of internal storage and 5MP/VGA cameras. How much will all of this cost? HTC is not disclosing the price just yet, but we are already expecting a friendly price tag.
The HTC Desire 510 will be available in select markets in Europe and Asia, as well as with some carriers in the USA.
Opinion: I will be surprised if HTC can really beat the Moto G with 4G LTE, which is a comparable device. We will have to wait and see.
LG’s new wearable was teased in a video recently, but today we are getting a more detailed image from the Korean manufacturer. It clearly shows a circcular smartwatch, but looks amazingly natural.
More details are to come during IFA, so make sure to stay tuned for more details. We will be in Berlin getting you all the goodies.
Opinion: The best part about the Moto 360 is that it looks like any other “regular” watch, but I must say this one actually beats Motorola’s device.
ASUS has released a new teaser video featuring a said ZenWatch. This smartwatch seems to look very well-designed, as seen in previous teasers. While this is the first time we see it on video, we are not getting other details about the device.
Rumors do say the device will cost only $100-150, which would automatically make it the cheapest Android Wear device (if we can assume it will carry Google’s wearable OS).
Opinion: If they can really hit the rumored price point, ASUS will be all but guaranteed to succeed in the smartwatch market. Not to mention, it is looking like a very sexy device!
