We have seen plenty of attractive tablet devices during IFA 2014, but few will surpass the efforts of HiSense and their Sero 8 Pro tablet, a beautifully crafted 8 inch tablet that combines a great looking aluminum body with a very classy display. Nicole Scott gets hands on at IFA 2014:
The HiSense Sero Pro is without doubt one of the thinnest tablets we have come across this week at IFA 2014, measuring in at a mere 6.35mm thick (or thin…) which is just a shade thinner than the Sony Z3 Tablet Compact at 6.4mm. The body of the device is made from a very well built aluminum shell that is available in red, gold, silver and blue. The HiSense Sero 8 Pro exudes quality manufacturing that belies its €199 price tag.
Catch our girl Nicole get up close and personal with a really good looking tablet from HiSense:
But its not just the housing which impresses, the display is a great looking IPS LCD panel with a a 2048 x 1536 resolution that is very pleasing on the eye and perhaps even a little similar to what we have seen on certain Apple devices – high praise indeed. The HiSense Sero 8 Pro runs Android 4.4.4 Kit Kat with a specially developed HiSense UI that also looks great. It is all powered by a quad-core Cortex A17-based SoC from Rockchip clocked at 1.8GHz which has 2GB of RAM to work with. Internal storage will give you 16GB of space, but that can be supplemented by a microSD card. Cameras include a 5MP on the rear, a 2MP on the front, while a 4,500mAh battery should mean you are getting a day or two on a single charge.
The HiSense Sero 8 Pro should be available for €199 in November of this year.
