Alcatel just launched a pair of interesting mid-range OneTouch smartphones here at MWC 2015, and invited us to play with them briefly. The Idol 3, as it’s called, runs Lollipop and is available in two screen sizes: 5.5 and 4.7-inches.
Both handsets pack similar specs, with dual JBL-branded front-facing speakers, a 13-megapixel camera, 16 GB of storage (with microSD expansion), and LTE support. One of the Idol 3’s coolest features is that it’s 100% reversible — it can be used “upside down”, even to answer calls.
The 5.5-inch version comes with a 1080p IPS display, 8MP selfie camera, Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor, 2GB of RAM, and a 2910mAh battery. As for the 4.7-inch Idol 3, it features a 720p IPS screen, 5MP front-facng shooter, Snapdragon 410 quad-core CPU, 1GB of RAM, and a 2000mAh battery.
Both single and dual-SIM version with be available in May on alcatelonetouch.us for less than $250 (5.5-inch) and less than $200 (4.7-inch)… Don’t miss our hands-on videos!
