Gigabyte announced the U2142 Convertible Ultrabook recently, but today at CES we got a chance to see the device up close. The U2142 can be used in tablet or desktop mode and is running Windows 8.
The U2142 has Gigabyte’s distinctive convertible hinge style. The 11 inch display has a 1366 x 768 resolution and is a touchscreen. Under the hood there’s an Intel Core i5 processor, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD and 1 TB storage. The ports include: USB 2.0, HDMI, 2 USB 3.0 and a kensington lock. It can be used in tablet or desktop mode. You can even upgrade the memory. It’s available for around $1,000.
