One of our favorite hybrids from IFA, the Dell XPS 12 has officially been announced at the price point of $1199.99. Dell’s take on the hybrid tablet ultrabook design incorporates an interesting 12.5 inch swivel touchscreen. The design is obviously ideal for the new Windows 8 OS.

The Dell XPS 12 has a full HD touchscreen display that can rotate and swivel to transform from tablet to ultrabook and back again. Under the hood, Dell has places Intel Ivy Bridge processors, 4 GB RAM and a 128 GB SSD. The hybrid also weighs in at a very light 3.35 pounds.

The XPS 12 will be available starting October 26th with an expected shipping date of October 31st showing on Dell’s website. While you’re waiting to get your hands on one, take a look at our hands on video:
