Today at Computex 2015 ASUS announced a new smartphone called Zenfone Selfie. This new product was presented by Jen Chuang, Asus Design Center Director.
As the name suggest this model is a powerful device for selfie lovers and ASUS made sure that they will be satisfied. This Smartphone houses 2 13-megapixel camera’s, however, the one difference for the rear facing shooter has a F/2.0 aperture and a 28mm lens. It is also accompanied by a laser focus, which is similar to LG G4.
The front facing camera has a few tricks up it’s sleeve with an f/2.2 apeture, 24mm lens and a 88-degree viewing angel. The front facing shooter also has a cool feature which allows you to shoot selfies in panarama mode so you can fit everyone in the shot. The cameras are accompanied by a double LED with Real Tone flash. This flash technology makes your skin look more natural.
If all that wasn’t enough Asus is also offering an optional Swing attachment to adjust the selfie angle and it also acts as a kickstand.
Zenfone Selfie comes with a vivid 1080p, 5.5-inch IPS LCD display that has a pixel per inch of 403 which is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor with options for 2 or 4 GB of RAM along side 16/32/64GB of storage. It’s running ASUS’ ZenUI and Android 5.0 Lolipop. It will be available in Chic Pink, Aqua Blue and Pure White.
Price and availability to be announced, but you can bet it’s probably inline with the competitive pricing they’ve got on the Zenfone 2 line up.
